The Torbay presentations were held at St Cuthbert Mayne School on the evening of Wednesday 6th July. The second presentation saw just over 130 Year 6 students from 10 primary schools presented with the prestigious Torbay and Devon Civic Award certificate at a this very special ceremony.
The event was presented by Karen Thomson, Award Founder and co-ordinator, who spoke to the children about taking the values of the award into their secondary schools and into their lives. The event commenced with a welcoming introduction from Suzanne Kingdon, Deputy Headteacher of St Cuthbert Mayne School.
Certificates were presented by Councillor Mandy Darling, Torbay Civic Mayor and her escort Miss Lily Beckett, accompanied by the Mayor’s guide dog Pepsi.
The event’s technology was managed by Will Reddaway and photographs were taken by Gary Vine (Civic Award Publicist and Business Administrator)
