Coronavirus Notice

Currently the Torbay and Devon Civic Award have around 40 primary schools from all corners of Devon, including around 800 active participants, taking part.

Due to recent Government announcements of social distancing and closure closures we have decided to place the 2020/2021 Torbay and Devon Civic Award on hold for the time being and will advise participating schools on next steps once we have clear guidance which will be during June.

The safety and wellbeing of all our participating students, families, teachers, support staff, officials and supporters is our priority and we will take all necessary precautions to ensure their continued welfare.

The Torbay and Devon Civic Award Officials do not encourage any student or accompanying school representative, parents or legal guardian to participate in any activity which will create a risk contracting Covid-19 and any such activity (especially in a public environment) where there is a high risk of contributing to the spread of Covid-19.

Many of our students are carrying out worthwile tasks within their communities and continue to support charities and we are more than happy to continue to publish any achievements on the official website by emailing

Together we can get through this! Please be sure to take care of yourself in these difficult times, take care of each other and most importantly, try to enjoy the little things.
