Six proud Year 6 pupils from The Abbey School were presented with the Torbay and Devon Civic Award commemorative certificate and medal at the school Speech Day on June 25th, 2024.
Karen Thomson, founder of the award, presented the certificates and spoke of the values of the award at the occasion. The school has been taking part in the Torbay and Devon Civic Award for 12 years and approximately 120 Abbey School pupils have taken part during this time. The award is fully embedded in the school’s calendar and in its ethos and the current Year 5 pupils are already making plans for their Civic Award journey! Well done Abbey School!
