This year 15 Torbay and Devon Primary Schools have enthusiastically participated within the Torbay and Devon Civic Award with around 250 – 300 Year 6 students meeting the criteria and successfully graduating with their well deserved award certificate.
Due to the increase in Schools and participants this year there will be two presentation evenings which will take place on Wednesday 5th July in the Centenary Hall at Torquay Boys Grammar School.
Karen Thomson (St Marychurch Church Deputy Head and Torbay Civic Award Founder) will formally welcome everyone at both presentations and provide a introduction to the civic award and what the year 6 students having been aiming for to achieve this recognition.
Presentation One
Centenary Hall opens at 16:45 for Parents, families and Schools
Presentation commences at 17:00 and finishes at 18:00.
There will be opportunity for photos between 18:00 – 18:15
Certificates will be presented by Chair person of Torbay Council (Councillor Anne Brooks) to the following schools.

- Collaton St Mary
- Homelands
- Our Lady of the Angels
- Priory
- Sacred Heart
- Shiphay
- Torre
Presentation Two
Centenary Hall opens at 18:15 for Parents, families and Schools
Presentation commences at 18:30 and finishes at 19:30.
There will be opportunity for photos between 19:30 – 19:45
Certificates will be presented by Chairman of Devon County Council to the following schools.

- St Josephs
- St Marys Buckfast
- St Marychurch
