The Torbay and Devon Civic Award is well established at St Marychurch now and almost all our 45 Year 6 pupils are taking part.
Just before Christmas the children collectively planned a Christmas Fair. This was held after school in the school hall and raised nearly £300 for charities chosen by the children. Stalls included:
- How many sweets in the jar?
- A book mark sale
- A raffle
- Lucky dips
- Cake sale
- Cookies sale
- Guess the name of the teddy
- Pick-a-stick
- Football club nickname quiz
- Name the bunny
- Crafts made by the children which included Christmas cards
- Reindeer food
The proceeds of the Christmas fair will be donated between the following charities:
