Katie Pering, a pupil at Collaton St Mary Primary Schooll, has recently had 12 inches of her hair cut off to donate to the Little Princess Trust, where it will be used to help create a wig for a child who has lost their hair due to cancer treatment or other medical conditions.
Alongside her hair donation, Katie has been fundraising for the charity and has so far raised more than £1,000, with additional Gift Aid contributions still to be added.
Katie’s fundraising efforts don’t stop there. She has also been supporting the British Heart Foundation by making and selling handmade bracelets, raising almost £100 for the charity so far.
Katie’s dedication to helping others at such a young age has been inspiring, and she hopes her efforts will make a real difference to children and families who need support.
