The thing I’m most proud of doing this year is supporting the local charity Punk against Poverty during the Covid-19 pandemic.
My sister and I set up a Punk Pantry (supported by the charity) outside our house to provide emergency food supplies for people struggling financially, whilst they waited for food parcels or universal credit support.
We made sure that there was always food supplies on the pantry and also put toys and games for children to take if they needed something new to do during lockdown. We ran this from March to June and lots of our lovely neighbours provided lots of supplies daily too, it was a real community effort.
I also completed a beach clean in November, for the charity Torbay Cleaner Coasts Initiative at Broadsands Beach, with other friends from my school. It was nice to see how much rubbish we collected and to make a difference to the look of the beach and hopefully we prevented animals and marine life from getting hurt too!
