Year 6 Torbay and Devon Civic Award participants from Collaton St Mary C of E Primary School have been collecting and recycling Aluminium cans.
Collaton St Mary Civic Awarders have been busy crushing aluminium cans that have been collected from nearby campsites and sports clubs.
They are then taken to a recycling plant and the school receives money for them. The children work in teams and crush 5 or 6 sackfuls of cans around twice a week.
This is a great recycling initiative that raises funds for school too.
