Active Citizenship in the School Community
I applied to be an advocate which meant completing an application form and interview.
I was awarded the role of the Golden Mile Advocate. This meant I was responsible of keeping a tally of all the mile run each week by every child in school
So every Friday I colelcted the recorded sheets from each class and then in my lunch break I would input all the miles into a computer. It was very important to make sure this happened every week otherwise the totals would not be correct.
As an advocate I also showed new potential parents and children around the school.
