Our Lady of the Angels Primary School Year 6 Students Awarded Torbay & Devon Civic Award 2018

9 Year 6 students from Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Primary School (Torquay) were successfully awarded the Torbay and Devon Civic Award 2018.

Mahnoor

  • I am proud to have raised almost £200 for my chosen charity Alkhair Foundation by holding lots of cake sales
  • I have learnt how to cook a variety of dishes – some Asian, some not.
  • I have developed my artistic skills. I can now draw in lots of different styles!

Mia

  • I am proud to have raised money for my chosen charity
  • I have developed my confidence in order to try new activities and hobbies
  •  I feel that I am far more active!

Oriana

  • I have achieved my goal of helping Animals in Distress
  • Improved my self-confidence
  • Developed my artistic skills

  • My organisational skills have developed as part of the Civic Award process. I now understand what it is to be responsible for achieving my own successes.

Jasmine

  • I am proud to have raised money by setting up cake sales for my chosen charity
  • I have developed my confidence and leadership skills by taking on the roles of Prefect, Librarian and Lunchtime helper
  • I have been on the Y6 residential and completed challenges that I never thought I would do!
