The Torbay Civic Award was a great influence, supporting me to complete all three Duke of Edinburgh awards. It helped me understand the importance of perseverance and hard work from a young age and has helped me grow in a variety of aspects in my life, particularly in my love for charity and the outdoors which is a dominant element of my life now.
