Rachael Bryett, Head of Fundraising invited Students taking part in the Torbay and Devon Civic Award and their families found out more about this wonderful charity at a special information evening at the hospice last night (Thursday 3rd Oct 2019).

2 of the students are from Watcombe Primary School and quoted on their official Facebook Page “Great to see two of our pupils at this!”

Rowcroft Hospice is a local charity, supporting adults aged 18 and above living with life-limiting illnesses in South Devon.

The hospice aims to make every day the best day possible for people living with life-limiting illnesses across South Devon, whilst providing comfort and support to their families.

Rowcroft provides care to people in their homes, nursing homes and in its 12 bedded inpatient unit. Last year, the hospice looked after over 2000 local people.

“The Civic Award is a brilliant scheme that helps to develop children into caring young adults by telling them about charities, showing them that giving can be fun and rewarding, and encouraging them to think about how they can help their local community.”Rachael Bryett, Head of Fundraising.
