Highlights from Tipton St John Primary School (Sidmouth) on what they have been involved with during the 2018 / 2019 Torbay and Devon Civic Award.
13 year 6 students from Tipton St John Primary School took part in this years Torbay and Devon Civic Award.
The school are immensely proud of the work and dedication they have shown.
We have cleaned many beaches and baked lots of cakes and also raised money for the following charities:
- Cancer Research
- Cat Protection League
- Diabetes Research
- Ottery Food Bank
- ELF
- The Mare and Foal Sanctuary
- Marie Curie
- British Heart Foundation
- Stroke Association
- ARC
- Julian House
- The Homeless Trust
Throughout the year we have tried many new things including: Photography, Art, Cooking, Cycling, Eraser Collecting, Guitar, Fishing, Jazz Dance, Alternative Archery, Hair Braiding and Football.
The children really enjoyed the awards and learnt many things about themselves, helping the community and especially those who are less fortunate and disadvantaged in some way.
